Paul Schuster is Senior Executive Vice President, Global Financial, Group and Health, Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated. He is responsible for RGA’s Global Financial, Group and Health business units. He is also a member of RGA’s Executive Council.

Until January 2011, Paul led RGA’s U.S. life, group, and health reinsurance businesses. During his tenure, each of these businesses became recognized leaders in the U.S. reinsurance marketplace.

Paul joined General American Life Insurance Company’s reinsurance division in 1991 as Second Vice President and Reinsurance Actuary, responsible for all actuarial functions of the reinsurance division. He came to RGA with the initial public offering that created RGA in 1993, and in 2000, was appointed Executive Vice President of RGA’s U.S. and Latin American divisions. In 2006, he was named Senior Executive Vice President.

Paul is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). He received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in chemistry from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts.
