Robert Musen, Executive Vice President of RGA Reinsurance Company since 2000, functions as the chief executive officer’s chief of staff, performing a multifaceted job that includes leading several of RGA’s corporate initiatives, both domestically and internationally.

For a quarter of a century Bob was with MetLife, where in his last assignment he was responsible for individual life pricing, valuation, profit analysis, investment management, underwriting management and expense analyses. Bob also led the teams working on the actuarial aspects of MetLife’s demutualization for individual life and annuities.

Bob received a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree in Mathematics from Princeton University and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Statistics from Stanford University. He is an active member of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and has chaired two examination committees. He has also been the SOA’s liaison to the Mathematical Association of America and has been the Vice-Chairperson of the SOA’s Committee on Career Encouragement. Bob is, in addition, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and recently served as Chairperson of the Academy’s Technology Committee.
