Longer Life Foundation
In 1998, RGA partnered with the School of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, a world leader in academic medicine and medical research, to form the Longer Life Foundation. The Foundation funds independent research that analyzes the effects of changing medical and public health practices on human longevity and the rates of disease in specific populations.
Mission Statement
The Longer Life's mission is to study factors that assist in predicting mortality and morbidity of selected populations and to research methods to promote improvements in longevity and health by analyzing the effects of changes in medicine and advances in public health practices.
The Foundation hopes to make significant contributions to the understanding of the scientific and social factors that influence longevity and health across the globe. The Foundation hopes to fund research that has immediate and practical applications for health promotion as well as the assessment of longevity trends by studying the factors that help predict longevity and wellness, in selected populations, domestically and internationally. The findings will be published for the benefit of the entire medical community to help improve human health and longevity.
