Reinsurance Group of America Named "Life Reinsurance Company of the Year" for the Second Consecutive Year
ST. LOUIS, September 8, 2005 – Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (NYSE: RGA) has been named "Life Reinsurance Company of the Year" for the second consecutive year by The Review - Worldwide Reinsurance in its 2005 Worldwide Reinsurance Awards competition. The prestigious award was presented September 7 in London.
The award recognizes RGA as a company that "shows consistent strong financial performance, offers superior service and security to clients, and displays the ability to adapt to market and industry changes." A distinguished panel of insurance industry leaders selected RGA from among the largest life reinsurance companies in the world.
Judges lauded RGA for its astute global expansion and noted that, when it comes to setting standards in the life reinsurance business, RGA is typically a market leader. Judges called RGA a “smart operator” and recognized that RGA sets the example that other life reinsurers are compelled to follow.
