In addition to his role as Senior Executive Vice President, Watson is Chief Marketing Officer for Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated, and is Chief Executive Officer of RGA International. He is responsible for all business outside of North America, overseeing RGA’s operations in 19 countries. He began his insurance career at Imperial Life Insurance Company of Canada in 1970. After working with several other Canadian life insurance companies, he served as President and CEO of Intercedent Limited, an international marketing consulting firm specializing in strategic market development. Watson joined RGA in 1996 and has provided a leadership role in the growth of the RGA International division since its inception.
Schuster leads RGA’s U.S. operating unit, RGA Reinsurance Company, and is responsible for all U.S. business development functions, including underwriting and medical, sales and marketing, and pricing. Schuster joined General American Life Insurance Company, RGA’s predecessor, in 1991 as Second Vice President and Reinsurance Actuary responsible for all actuarial functions of the reinsurance division. He has since held a number of high-level management and actuarial positions. Schuster was named Executive Vice President of the U.S. Division in 2000. Watson is based at the RGA International headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Schuster is based at the RGA world headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri.
