Manulife Hong Kong launches new ManuPrimo Care critical illness plans offering multiple protection and market-first cancer flexible payout option . Press release, August 1, 2022.

Manulife announce the launch of two Critical Illness plans: ManuPrimo Care and ManuPrimo Care (BestStart). The plans cover up to 121 critical illnesses up to the age of 100. ManuPrimo Care offers continuous care for cancer, heart attack and stroke as well as dementia and Parkinsons disease. The Plans offer 1) first-in-market3 late-stage cancer flexi option for people with stage 3 or 4 cancer; 2) continuous care benefit for newly diagnosed, recurrent, metastatic, and persistent cancer; and 3) continuous cancer income option for patients continuously receiving active treatment or end-of-life care.

"AIA Multi-Pay CI" with the concept of "Critical Illness, Meet, Pay, End" designed to provide customers with more cost-effective benefits by paying benefits in case of serious illnesses that have been covered multiple times. Up to 11 times in total, pay up to 800% of the sum assured. It can be repeatedly claimed on up to 3 common severe serious diseases.

Under a key provision of the Hometown Heroes Assistance Program, all active firefighters in the state—full-time, part-time, and volunteer—are automatically enrolled in a critical illness insurance policy underwritten by the Securian Life Insurance Company. The insurance, available free of charge to firefighters, provides up to $20,000 in benefits upon the diagnosis of cancer, cardiac disease, or other critical illnesses, as defined in the policy.
