ST. LOUIS, Sept. 20, 2018 - Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (NYSE: RGA), a leading global life reinsurer, has been named to Forbes magazine’s Best Regarded Companies list. RGA debuted on the list at #149 out of the 250 listed companies.
The data is based on Forbes’ 2018 Global 2000 rankings, a well-known, annual feature that identifies the world’s largest public companies. The 250 Best Regarded Companies list was published September 12 and is one of several Global 2000 sub-lists, including the 500 World's Best Employers, the 250 Top Multinational Performers, and the 250 Top Growth Champions. RGA was ranked #590 on the Global 2000 list for 2018, which was published in June.
To compile the list, Forbes partnered with the market research firm, Statista, which surveyed 15,000 people from 60 countries. Respondents were asked their opinions about the 2018 Global 2000 companies, and responses were evaluated on topics such as trustworthiness, social conduct, performance of the company's product or service, and the company as an employer.
