​Suzanne Scanlon-Pope Named Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader for 2012

ST. LOUIS, March 6, 2012 – Suzanne Scanlon-Pope, Vice President, Global Business Solutions, RGA Reinsurance Company, has been named a Premier 100 Leader in Information Technology for 2012 by Computerworld magazine.

This prestigious award recognizes Scanlon-Pope for her role in strengthening and transforming RGA’s information technology function into one that provides powerful support of the growth needs of a global Fortune 500 company.

“Suzy has a strong history of organizing and delivering major global initiatives, and a well-deserved reputation for leadership development, mentoring, coaching, and organizational development,” said Mark Showers, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated (NYSE:RGA). “Under her leadership, RGA’s IT group has successfully knitted itself into a cohesive global unit that can seamlessly develop and deliver major cross-functional and cross-border technology initiatives and infrastructure improvements.”

Scanlon-Pope will receive her award at a special Awards Gala dinner that will be held during Computerworld’s IT Leaders conference March 11-13, 2012 at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona.

Scanlon-Pope joined RGA in 2009 after spending more than 25 years with Monsanto Company in St. Louis, Missouri, where she held a broad range of U.S. and global information technology positions. She received her B.A. in Business from Texas A&M University, and earned her Executive M.B.A. from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.
