Anil Vasagiri is Senior Vice President and Enterprise Chief Data & AI Officer for RGA. In this role, he leads RGA's enterprise-wide data and AI strategy, governance, and transformation approach, helping ensure that data and artificial intelligence are leveraged to create measurable business value while managing risk responsibly.
Anil brings more than 25 years of experience spanning product management, enterprise data strategy, governance, and AI-enabled analytics across the global insurance and reinsurance industry. He has extensive expertise in building data foundations and transforming them into solutions that deliver measurable commercial value for organizations.
Prior to joining RGA in 2026, Anil served in several senior leadership roles at Swiss Re, where most recently he was Head of Product for the company’s risk data solutions division. In that position, he oversaw a comprehensive portfolio of data and analytics solutions serving insurance, financial services, and corporate market segments. Earlier at Swiss Re, Anil led enterprise-wide data strategy and governance for global property and casualty reinsurance, establishing the company's authoritative data corpus and leveraging that foundation to develop data- and AI-enabled analytics solutions that generated significant business value.
Before Swiss Re, Anil held leadership positions at Verisk Analytics and Hartford Financial Services Group, gaining experience across the full (re)insurance data value chain, including governance, architecture, product development, and strategic partnerships.
Anil earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Strategic Management and Finance.
