As Head of Underwriting, Hong Kong & High Net Worth, Carlie Kwan leads the underwriting team in Hong Kong as it provides underwriting support and executes business strategies for all lines of business. By fostering engagement and partnerships, and leveraging RGA’s expertise and achievements, Carlie’s team creates innovative underwriting solutions and delivers exceptional underwriting services to clients in Hong Kong, with a particular focus on the high net worth segment.
Carlie brings over 20 years of underwriting experience with reinsurers and direct insurance companies to her current role. She joined RGA in 2017 as Executive Director of Underwriting, Hong Kong. Before that, Carlie served in senior underwriting and operations roles at HSBC, Generali, AIA Hong Kong, and TransAmerica, always working within high net worth business lines. Carlie began her career at Manulife Hong Kong, where she focused on mass market underwriting services and guidelines building.
Carlie received her Bachelor of Arts from Hong Kong Baptist University. She has earned certifications from the Life Office Management Association (LOMA), the Academy of Life Underwriting, and the International Claim Association.
