Carmony Wong is Senior Vice President, Southeast Asia Markets and Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong. In addition to leading RGA's business and operations in Hong Kong and across Southeast Asia, she provides executive oversight for the region's underwriting, claims and medical functions.
Carmony has more than 25 years of life insurance experience and has held leadership roles spanning underwriting, claims, business development, and market management. In 2007, she was named Assistant Vice President, Head of Underwriting and Claims, where she led RGA Hong Kong’s Underwriting and Claims function, supporting clients in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia and participating in product development initiatives. In 2012, she was promoted to Head of Underwriting Business Development for Asia and then took up the role of Head of Hong Kong and High Net Worth in 2017. Carmony was appointed Senior Vice President in 2019 and named Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong office in 2023.
Carmony holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), an Associate of the Academy of Life Underwriters (AALU), an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK (ACII), and a Senior Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
