Cormac Galvin is Executive Vice President, Head of EMEA. He is responsible for leading the management and growth of RGA’s businesses and operations in the UK and Ireland, Continental Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. With over 15 years of experience at RGA, Cormac also serves on the Board of RGA International, overseeing branches across Europe. He is a member of RGA’s Executive Committee.
During his tenure at RGA, Cormac has held several key positions. Most recently he served as Managing Director, Europe, where he focused on growth and strategy for RGA’s operations in the UK and Continental Europe. As Head of EMEA Financial Solutions, Cormac led acquisitions, capital solutions, and some of the earliest and largest longevity swap transactions in the UK and the Netherlands. He was also Head of Business Development in the UK at the inception of the bulk annuity market and executed some of the earliest funded reinsurance agreements.
Prior to joining RGA, Cormac worked at RBS, AIAC, and Aviva. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
