Laura Cockrill

Laura Cockrill is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, at RGA, where she leads the team responsible for RGA’s capital management and financial reporting functions. She is a member of RGA's Executive Committee.

Prior to her current role, she served as Chief Strategy Officer at RGA, responsible for shaping, communicating, and executing the company’s strategic vision. With over 25 years at RGA, Laura has built a distinguished career marked by progressive leadership within the Finance organization. She has also served as the organization’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer, and before that, as Chief Financial Officer for the Americas region. Her journey through the company has included a wide range of finance roles, giving her deep expertise across business, capital, collateral, investments, Treasury, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

Laura is a respected mentor to numerous associates and serves on multiple boards within RGA’s operating structure, reflecting her commitment to leadership development and organizational stewardship.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
