Marc Sofer is Head of Product Development and Strategic Solutions, Hong Kong & High Net Worth Markets. In
his role, Marc is responsible for leading RGA’s product development and research efforts, as well as developing new
Marc has more than 20 years of actuarial, risk management, and business development experience. He has held
both local and regional level pricing, business development, and leadership roles since joining RGA Australia in
2010. He most recently served as Head of Data and Strategic Analytics – Asian Markets, and as the Global Data
and Analytics (GDA) Business Partner for the APAC region, based in Hong Kong.
Before joining RGA, Marc was with Swiss Re Australia, where he was a Marketing Actuary in Life and Health
Client Markets. Prior to that, he was with MBF Australia (now part of Bupa Australia Health Pty Ltd), where he
participated in both actuarial and business development work. Marc has also worked for Discovery Health South
Marc received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Actuarial Science and Statistics from Wits University,
Johannesburg, South Africa, and he also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University
of Western Ontario, Ivey Business School. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries (FFA) and of the Institute of
Actuaries of Australia (FIAA).
