Michael Edge is Vice President, Lead Actuary Global Transactions and Strategic Projects, Global Health. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Health Actuary, Global Health, for RGA. He joined the company in 2013 as a healthcare actuary based in Cape Town, South Africa. Michael’s primary function is supporting and growing RGA's health reinsurance business while helping clients make their health insurance business more successful.
Prior to joining RGA, Michael gained extensive life insurance experience, mainly in South Africa and in the U.K., and he has worked in the health insurance field since 2008.
Michael received a Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) in actuarial science and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA).
