Nicole Xu serves as Chief Risk Officer for RGA Global Re and RGA Americas Re, where she provides oversight of the risk function across Bermuda-based operations. She also plays a pivotal role in engaging with the Board of Directors, senior executives, and regulators to ensure transparency, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Nicole has more than 18 years of experience in life re/insurance industry. She joined RGA in 2019 as an Executive Director in Global Valuation, driving operational excellence through streamlined valuation processes, advanced analytics, and strengthened regulatory coordination. Nicole began her actuarial career at Transamerica Life and later spent 10 years with Munich Re. Her technical expertise spans Enterprise Risk Management, BSCR, LDTI, Solvency II, and IFRS 17 frameworks, complemented by a proven ability to foster operational excellence and innovation.
A passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion and equity, Nicole has served as a co-lead and committee lead of RGA’s Asian Pacific Professional Network (APPN), where she spearheaded membership growth and organized high-impact cultural events that strengthened organizational culture.
Nicole holds a Master of Management Science and a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
