As Senior Vice President and Chief Pricing Actuary, Asia Pacific Financial Solutions, Nigel Knowles plays a leading role in the development of the financial solutions business in the Asia Pacific region. He is located at RGA’s Hong Kong branch office.
Nigel has more than 30 years of experience in global financial services. His background includes C-suite management, investment banking, consulting, and now reinsurance. In his current role, he draws on this expertise to co-create and structure solutions to achieve capital or financial reporting objectives. Before joining RGA in 2025, he worked extensively across the Asia-Pacific region, gaining first-hand experience as the Chief Financial Officer for one of Hong Kong's largest insurance companies and consulting to insurance company executives. In Europe, he served as a Managing Director at a major investment bank, where he designed and implemented derivatives solutions for insurance companies.
He is originally from the United Kingdom and graduated from the University of Durham. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA).
