Vera Bastheim is Senior Actuary Business Development at RGA International Reinsurance Company dac German Branch Office. She supports and takes care about new and existing client relations on the traditional reinsurance side serving clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.
Vera has more than 20 years of financial services industry experience. She worked as marketing actuary at Swiss Re Life & Health Germany for four years, where she helped introducing the first essential ability product to the German market. Prior to joining RGA, she spent ten years with Deloitte in Germany providing actuarial consultancy and reviews.
Vera earned a Master's degree in mathematics and insurance science from the University of Cologne. She is a qualified actuary, member of the German and the Swiss Actuarial Society (Aktuar DAV, Aktuar SAV) and serves on the Communication Committee of the German Actuarial Association (DAV).
