Dr. Klaus Mattar is Managing Director of RGA International Reinsurance Company dac German Branch Office. He also is Managing Director of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), RGA International Reinsurance Company dac Poland Branch Office.
He is responsible for executive oversight of the office’s business activities, serving clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg, as well as the CEE region. He joined RGA in August 2008 as Chief Marketing Officer for the German Branch Office.
Klaus has more than 20 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining RGA, he spent nine years with Swiss Re, primarily in its German life actuarial department and served as head of its Life and Health team in Mexico for two of those years. He also managed AXA Life Europe’s Germany branch, where he helped launch Germany’s first variable annuity. In addition, his professional background includes serving as Chief Actuary and Chief Financial Officer of the Dutch direct insurance marketer ReMark.
He earned a Master's degree in Mathematics and Insurance Science and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Economics and Statistics from the University of Cologne. He is a qualified actuary, and serves on various professional committees.
Wojciech Książkiewicz is General Manager, Central and Eastern Europe, RGA International Reinsurance Company dac Poland Branch Office. He is responsible for executive oversight of the office, which serves clients in several CEE region countries, including (but not limited to) Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Prior to his current role, to which he was named in 2016, Wojciech was Deputy General Manager and earlier Director, Business Development for the office, leading the development of relationships with new and existing clients in the region as well as creating new business opportunities through product development.
Before joining RGA in 2009, Wojciech was the CEE/CIS region sales director for Generali PPF Holding’s employee benefits, corporate pension and affinity business unit. Previously, he was with Generali Poland for eight years, where he served in various positions of increasing responsibility.
Wojciech has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the School of Banking and Management in Krakow, Poland.
Kasia has nearly two decades of insurance and reinsurance underwriting experience. Before arriving at RGA in 2011, she ran her own consulting business. Prior to then, she spent 10 years as a senior underwriting consultant in Swiss Re’s Warsaw office, until its 2009 closure. She started her career with Commercial Union (now Aviva), where she held several positions in underwriting and risk management.
Kasia is a Member of the Board of Polish Association of Underwriters.
Marcin Zawistowski-Lulek is Chief Actuary, Central and Eastern Europe, RGA International Reinsurance Company dac Poland Branch Office. He is responsible for client relationship management, pricing, valuation, and treaties for the Central and Eastern Europe market.
Prior to joining RGA, Marcin served as an Actuary at Ernst & Young in the company's Poland and Netherlands offices in roles of increasing responsibility. He also served as Chief Actuary at Royal PBK S.A. Life Insurance Company.
Marcin received a joint Master of Arts and Executive M.B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Warsaw University. He also attended insurance post-graduate studies with a focus on insurance (actuarial) mathematics from Warsaw University. Marcin received his M.Sc. in Mathematics from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Maria Curie – Skłodowska in Lublin. He is a Fellow of the Polish Society of Actuaries (FPSA).
