Lauren Garfield

Lauren Garfield, Ph.D., MPH, is an Underwriting Research Consultant with RGA Reinsurance Company. Her work focuses on RGA’s U.S. underwriting manuals.

She is an epidemiologist and health outcomes researcher with a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and an MPH and Ph.D. from Saint Louis University School of Public Health. Before coming to RGA, Dr. Garfield completed postdoctoral research training in the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis
and has also worked in several health analytics positions in U.S. companies. Her personal research interests are in mental and behavioral health.
