Johan Tuijp is Managing Director of the Netherlands and the Nordic countries region. He provides executive oversight of all the office’s activities throughout the Netherlands and Nordic countries region.
Johan came to RGA in 2010 and has almost 30 years of experience in the insurance, banking and pensions industry. Prior to his arrival, he held senior international positions with Fortis Insurance International and DSB International, a subsidiary of DSB Bank N.V.. In the Netherlands he has been working as a pension consultant and he spent more than 10 years for a life insurance company (Falcon/Interlloyd; part of the Fortis Group) where he was active as Chief Actuary and business developer.
Johan is a graduate of the Actuarial Institute in Woerden, from which he earned an Actuarial degree with a concentration in Actuarial Science. He is an Actuary A.G., a member of the Actuarial Society of the Netherlands, and a member of the Dutch Reinsurance Association.
