As Vice President and Head of Stable Value, John Hubenschmidt leads RGA's stable value business and is responsible for pricing and risk management. He joined RGA in 2012 and has been with the Stable Value team since 2017 where he has contributed to RGA’s emergence as a top ten writer of synthetic GICs.
John has two decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance, having worked in pricing, valuation and projections, in force management of asset-intensive treaties, and ALM and VA hedging. He began his career with Ohio National Financial Services and worked for Genworth and CUNA Mutual Group prior to coming to RGA.
John received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the California Institute of Technology, and a Master of Arts in economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), a Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) Charterholder.
