Neil serves as Chief Financial Officer for RGA Global Re & RGA Americas Re, with overall responsibility for their financial management, as well as heading the financial operations of RGA's Bermuda office. He joined RGA permanently in 2023, originally as Chief Compliance Officer of the Bermuda companies, after previously serving for two years as Financial Controller of Langhorne Re, a joint-venture part-owned by RGA.

A member of the ICAEW since 1998, Neil has over 25 years’ post-qualification experience as a Chartered Accountant in the insurance and reinsurance industry, including 16 years in Bermuda. He has a broad knowledge of insurance and reinsurance products and markets, and has amassed a deep understanding of the Bermuda’s financial, regulatory, compliance and legal environments, as well as US GAAP and BMA reporting requirements.

Neil’s previous roles in Bermuda include four years as a management consultant advising a suite of large licensed reinsurer clients in a variety of executive roles including CFO, Financial Controller and Chief Compliance Officer; a founder and co-owner of a start-up insurance management company; leading the local insurance restructuring advisory practice of a global consulting firm; and serving as an audit manager in the insurance practice of a Big-4 global audit firm. He has also served on the Board of Directors for numerous clients throughout his career, as well as sitting as a volunteer on the executive committees of various Bermuda not-for-profit organizations and charities. 

Outside of Bermuda, Neil also spent ten years working for a leading restructuring and advisory firm in Sydney, Australia, performing senior management roles in the high-profile liquidation of the country’s second largest general insurer.
