Miriam de Jonge is Head of Global Underwriting Education for RGA Reinsurance Company.  In this role, Miriam has responsibility for the Learning Gateway, a premier online and classroom training system for our clients around the world.

Prior to joining RGA in 2006, Miriam’s 20 year career focused on underwriting and claims in a variety of production and technical roles in Australia, with both direct carriers and reinsurers. She joined RGA’s Australian office as a senior underwriting consultant before moving to the technical manager role.  In 2009 Miriam joined the International Division to help develop RGA’s new global client training program – Learning Gateway– along with providing underwriting technical oversight to our Asia businesses.

Miriam holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in accounting) from Deakin University, with a place on the Dean’s Honour List.  She is a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), a founding Senior Associate of the Australian Underwriting and Claims Association (ALUCA), and a Fellow of the Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU), which she earned with distinction. She also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from NSW Technical and Further Education.

Miriam served two years on the ALUCA NSW committee, one as president.  Since moving to St Louis in 2012, she has become a member and active participant in the Association for Talent Development, presenting at local chapter meetings.

Miriam holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in accounting) from Deakin University, with a place on the Dean’s Honour List.  She is a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), a founding Senior Associate of the Australian Underwriting and Claims Association (ALUCA), and a Fellow of the Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU), which she earned with distinction. She also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from NSW Technical and Further Education.

Miriam served two years on the ALUCA NSW committee, one as president.  Since moving to St Louis in 2012, she has become a member and active participant in the Association for Talent Development, presenting at local chapter meetings.
